My Memory is Really Lassening . . .

Ok here we go again. The fatigue from catching up with blogs meant I took a break but now I don't remember much of this day either.
I can tell you that today we went to Lassen National Park! It was better than Crater Lake, in my opinion. The scenery involved trees and mountains and while some of it was burnt form recent and not so recent fires, parts of it were beautifully raw and untouched. Mom even saw a deer in the woods, but it ran away from her once she started talking. If you ask me, her voice is very soothing, but I guess that deer had other ideas . . .
There was also a super large rock that got blasted down the volcano (what I called a mountain, same difference) at the last eruption and had travelled something like five miles. It was pretty cool and super huge . . . There was another little girl climbing on it while we took pictures and we didn't see her until after. Doubt she showed in the pictures either . . .When Mom told us to pose in front of the rock, I asked what it was. "Dinosaur poop," Mom responded teasingly. Another man nearby says "That is not dinosaur poop" as if Mom is an absolute idiot. Tourists, am I right?
We got to our hotel at a reasonable time, and I got to do a little math review while listening to some music before we decided on a place for dinner. I don't remember the name, but it was a pizza place and it started with a T. Mom wanted to go because they had jalapeno poppers made with cream cheese, not cheddar. When we got there, we were told we could be seated if we only stayed an hour and fifteen minutes. Perfectly fine, but we're learning to go to dinner earlier from now on. Anyway, the poppers were really good and the rest of the meal was purely ok, but whatever.
We stopped at a gas station on the way home, and Dad requested a soda and a water. We went inside, planning to get water for all of us. Mom picked up a soda for Dad, and I took three waters. I forgot that Dad wanted a water too, I guess my brain is just programmed to get things in groups of four now. I also got ice cream sandwiches for me and Gideon :)
Back in the hotel, we turned on MTV to try and tune into the Catfish TV Show we've been missing. We did, in fact, catch an episode! It was super fun to watch a family show again.
