Abby's Blog July 29th!
Today we drove through Jackson to start. It was nice. We saw arches that were made out of Elk antlers. We kept on driving and went through the Tetons national park. The Tetons were beautiful!
After that we kept on driving. We tried to stop at the first lodge for lunch but they didn't have kids meals. When we came back out there was a deer, she was very close to the parking. It was amazing! After that we kept on driving till we saw another lodge. That lodge had a nice lunch.
After that we drove into Yellowstone. The sign was busy so we didn't take a picture in front of it. After that we saw the cascades. They were beautiful. Next was Old Faithful. We had perfect timing! We got out of the car, we went to Old Faithful, and we waited for about 20 minutes. And it erupted!!! It was Bew-Tee-Ful! The water was really high up in the air and it went for a pretty long time!
Next stop was Prismatic Springs. It was very beautiful. It had all different colors. It was very hot and toasty. The hot went on and off. First the steam woudl come at us and we'd be warm, and then we'd be really freezing, then we'd be warm, then we'd be freezing. Then we drove out of the park and we stayed in Jackson for the night at this place called the Lodge. It was so cool!!! There were bears looking in the windows! There were bears on the benches. There was even a bear with his hand stuck in the trashcan. He had the "oh no, I got caught face"!!!
