This one should be short.
Today, we got to sleep in until 8! Then, we got pool ready and cleaned up our room for housekeeping before we met Mom and Dad for breakfast.
The main breakfast restaurant here is open air and facing the ocean, as are most restaurants here. It was such a beautiful breakfast, and I got the most delicious mocha! Thanks for getting me addicted to those, Katey.
The rest of the day was pretty cyclical and boring. Read a ton, take a dip in the pool, grab another drink and around we go. Me and Gideon even got some tri sets done in the pool. We complimented some people in and around the pool for our good deeds for the day!
Once we were all suntired and ready for a good shower, we headed back to our rooms, relaxed and washed up. Then, it was time to get ready for the evening. Tonight was another fancy dinner, so we all got dressed up in the same outfits as a day ago because… we aren't that fancy. We each only packed one nice outfit.
We had to run up to the little convenience store in the hotel next door because we needed more aloe, new sunglasses and some antibiotics. And of course, while we were there, Gideon had to snag a little ice cream to go.
Then we did as we did yesterday and sat in the lobby with a few drinks before our dinner reservation. Today, waves were splashing up over the railings of the hotel bar! Scary!
Glad to be away from the salt splashes, we headed upstairs to our reservation. The place even looked quite fancy. It was a little intimidating. The first thing you notice, though, is that with every wave hitting the building's foundation, the floor shakes. This was a horrifying revelation that assured me I have some kind of anxiety disorder. On paper, all the menu items seemed a little fancy for me, but I actually really enjoyed everything we ate! The best part was the dessert, a mexican chocolate and peanut butter cheesecake with a pomegrante sauce on top. Like peanut butter and jelly in a cake! Yummy!
A story up and away from the sea breeze, we were pretty hot the entirety of our two hour dinner. We were ready and excited for AC when we left. Me and Gideon started getting settled into our room when there was a knock at the door. Mom. Mom and Dad were locked out of their room. For the second time. I'm not sure if I mentioned the first time, but rest assured it did happen. Once again security had to let them in, and we're hoping they'll get to the bottom of it tomorrow.
With that all settled I realized I hadn't seen my friend today! Mom even said when she was out trying to open the door my friend was looking for me! So I did what she likes. I sat very still on my chair and talked to her until she came. And sure enough, that she did. And the best thing happened. I said hi babygirl
and she meowed right back! We are soulmates.
Me and Gideon then settled in for our daily dose of Gossip Girl before turning in for bed.
Nice Deed of the Day: We all complimented some unsuspecting strangers by the pool!
Boy Meets Comb: Episode 4 —
Gideon did his hair again for our nice dinner! It was another really cute style that I had no say or involvement in, so I don't have too much to say. But it was so so cute.
