Today, we decided to try a new breakfast over at the neighboring hotel. On the way out the door to head there, I decided to test if I had a magical power to call my friend out of nowhere. So I called friieeeend
and sure enough she came running right up to me. She even let me pet her today!
The breakfast at the Westin was good, buffet style. You know, normal resort food so very average. But then we went downstairs to grab coffee and pool snacks, and the mocha frap I got was excellent.
Then it was the same as yesterday. Pool, read, grab a drink and repeat. Except they had far too many fruit plates by the pool for the number of guests, so we got like 3! Around 4 it looked like it might rain or storm, so we headed back to the rooms to shower and get ready for dinner. Today was the day we were going to head back to Mom and Dad's favorite bar and restaurant from their honeymoon for a true meal. We even planned on retaking some old photos while we were there.
Incidentally, we took a cab with a lesbian couple we had met the day before. That will be important later. We arrived at the Greenhouse during happy hour, which was great because we could all double fist drinks for a low low price! (just rootbeer for Gideon, don't worry Guggs!)
The food was pretty good, in fact I got to have a pizza! I was having withdrawals. We also found the most killer shirt from their merch stand. I still think it would make a great sleep shirt.
Anyway, we called the cab guy that took us there to see if he may be able to take us back. He agreed. When he arrived he got out of his car and as he was opening the door said perfect timing
. Yay, glad we were convenient si—OH MY GOD THE LESBIANS AND THEIR CHILD JUST FINISHED THEIR DINNER TOO. Wow what a coincidence. We yapped the whole way home.
On the way back to the room, Gideon said it was time we visit the fitness center. We have been joking about it the whole time we've been at this resort, so I thought we'd at least check it out. Problem being I was in flip flops. We went in and he found some machines he really liked, so I promised we would go back tomorrow when I could at least wear hiking sandals. But there was free cold water which was very nice!
With that, we returned to our room and bed rotted while watching Gossip Girl for quite a while before bed.
Nice Deed of the Day: Mom complimented another woman on the beach.
