Me and Gideon woke up early this morning because we knew Mom and Dad had been up even earlier doing laundry. When I woke up, I went to get our clean laundry from Mom and Dad, then packed up and got ready. Mom and Dad had eaten hotel breakfast while they were waiting on laundry, so once me and Gideon were ready we went down for a bite to eat before we left.
Our first stop of the day was Publix. We needed distilled water for Dad's cpap machine and more Powerades for the car. We are big water and Powerade zero drinkers. Oh, and deodorant for Gideon. We send Gideon on his own journey when we entered, but Dad went with him. That left me and Mom to find Powerade. After walking the whole store once we did find them, but then we found something else. This is why you never leave us unattended. Suffice it to say between me, Mom and Gideon we ended up with five Spudsters
. They are very cute and fluffy little stuffed animals. We have a platypus, two alligators, a seagull eating a french fry, and a cow. They are all comfy cozy in our new stuffed animal storage pit in the van! We were unsuccessful all around, as Dad got distracted helping Gideon and forgot to get his own distilled water. Oh, well.
We swung by Starbucks for Mom and I and then we were on our way! We stopped at Culver's for lunch, but decided it wasn't all that good. The real event of the day is that we purposely and willingly returned to Buccees. Me and Mom really wanted to peruse the merch! And we thought the parking lot might be good for our lisence plate game. This store was admittedly not as busy and they had halloween things out, so Buccees is forgiven.
We stopped for the day around 4 PM at Margaritaville in Biloxi, Mississippi. Gideon is obsessed with Margaritavilles, so we thought it was something we could do for him. Once both rooms were ready we headed to the attraction the whole family was the most excited for: the arcade. There is a massive arcade named Escape
in our hotel, and we must have spent at least an hour and a half there. Me and Gideon got really good at a piano playing game and won more ducks out of a machine for Jeep duckings. Between the family we ended the afternoon with about 8,000 points. With that we bought a lot of candy and a little ramen shaped desk lamp for me. And, on the way out, we saw this trash can collecting water from a leak.
After that we headed up to dinner at the Margaritaville. They had a cute little volcano that doubled as a rock climbing wall, and it erupted
every 70 minutes. Gideon assured us we should see it. It sure was something… something not worth our time.
With that, we all settled in for our nightly routines and nice comfortable beds.
Nice Deed of the Day: Dad ducked a Jeep!
