And I don't even like him, but...

We got shaking a little earlier than I would have preferred, but we didn't leave immediately which was nice. We packed everything away and went out to a restaurant for breakfast. It was a short walk, and the place was pretty busy. Luckily, they had a seat for us. Our waiter recognized Gideon's hat from a show called Gravity Falls, and he told us he sometimes drives around the town dressed in a Batman costume on his motorcycle. Quite the character. He was nice, though, and the chocolate milk was also very good. I got buttermilk pancakes that were pretty yum just very filling. In no time, we were on our way for the day!
We had a conveniently short drive for the day, so really the first thing I remember is being at the hotel for the night at about noon. We asked the hotel, but obviously they couldn't check us in. Mom and Gideon had been wanting to see Space Jam, though, so we went to the movies. There weren't any big brand theaters there, but there was a cuter and smaller place that was nice and quiet. We got all our fixings and sat down for the movie, although we were a little early. The seats were super nice, though, and because we had the theater to ourselves we were able to put our feet up on the armrests in front of us. The movie was good and longer than we thought it would be. At the very end, though, it blacked out and we couldn't see. We could still hear everything that was happening. We figured it was about done so it didn't really matter, but the audio just kept going for another five minutes. We asked to get the movie rewinded, but it didn't go far enough the first time. We asked again and finally got to see the end of the movie.
After that, we went back to check in to the hotel. At the front desk we confirmed, for the third time, that we had adjoining rooms tonight. We got up to our rooms and they were not, in fact, adjoining. They were adjacent, and there was a bug on the bed that was a member of the not-a-fly species. The bathtub was also all cracked and the phone didn't have long distance calling. We went back down and asked about it, but they said they'd already given away all the adjoining rooms. We gave up one of the rooms and got our money back, because neither Gideon nor I can stay in a room all night without an adult. That's just ridiculous. Mom also asked for some of the rewards points she'd used to purchase it to be returned, but the front desk simply said to call corporate. So, that's what Mom did. The first time, one human picked up and said Mom would be transferred to human services. Eight minutes later, the phone hung up. She called again and talked for a while with a couple of people, who eventually told her she would have to talk to the manager of the hotel, who had just told us to call corporate. Great. We went down to the lobby to talk to her, and apparently she had left for the day. The person on duty had to call her and ask for our points back, which we were finally given. Phew.
While all of this is happening, we were also under a flash flood watch, so we were still waiting to eat dinner. Once it was finally over, we went out to a good sounding bar and grill type place. We were told we would have to wait forty five minutes, and watched as everyone else got seated. Fits with the day. When we finally were seated, though, the food was excellent. The cheese curds had a little kick to them, the root beer was excellent, my pulled pork was amazing. It was all really, really good. We got dessert again, and Mom teased and bullied me for trying to get even one piece in my mouth before Gideon devoured all of it. Who's really the monster?
Oh, and, the entire time there were two couples at the bar who were being all loud and annoying and getting the entire area all hyped up.
  And that's all, folks!

Get it? Eh? Ok, ok, fine.
