Adam's Blog July 26th, Day 21!

Today is another rest day for us so we started the day by having a bit more rest time in the morning and having a slower start to the day, including some caching. The forest planned stop of the day is lunch followed by the new Planes movie.

We lunch at Burgerville, a regional chain, after I show the family the view of Mount Hood that I have each time that I come out here. Nothing special really but they did have some great onion rings!

Off to the movie. Tickets were a bit cheaper than I thought they were going to be but the concession made up for that in no time. The movie was very good, better than I had expected it to be to be honest. Not only that but there were some movies in the previews that I am excited to see as well. Looks like this might be a good fall movie season.

Off to the new hotel to check in and swim. There was another family in the pool when we arrived. Not a big deal right? They made it a big deal it seemed. Not sure what they were expecting from a hotel pool though. Anywho, after swimming a bit it is nearly time for dinner so we get all showered and changed and head over to On The Border. This is a national chain but there isn't one all that close to us and it is pretty good mexican. Shortly after we arrive we hear the wait staff talking about a big party and ago sorts of tables getting pushed together. We eat, hoping to get out of this place before the mass of humanity descends on it. We were not so lucky. Not sure what the party was for but I would say that it was 75 percent preteens. Not only that, there is clearly not enough seats for the party. I keep hearing negotiations happening so that Susie can sit next to June or Fred can sit next to Paul. We flee as soon as we can. Off to bed for the next day of driving ahead of us.
